Saturday
6:00 AM River Market
Saturday mornings at 6:00 AM several runners usually meet at the Andina's
courtyard area on President Clinton Avenue and Commerce Street in the Little
Rock River Market.
They head to the NLR River Trail via the Main St bridge and run to the golf course clubhouse and back. Paces usually range from under 7:00
minutes/mile to over 10:00 depending on who shows up.
Little Rock Marathon Training Group
A group of runners training for the Little Rock Marathon/Half Marathon/Relays. The LR Marathon is held in early March, and the group meets all year round. Meeting time is always Saturday at 6:00 AM and locations vary throughout the greater Little Rock metro area. Check out the LR marathon website's training group page to find out where the group will be meeting this Saturday.
Sunday
Sunday 10 Miler in the Heights
The group meets every Sunday at the US Pizza located at Kavanaugh and Taylor St. Normal route is 10 miles, but some runners only go as few as 5 miles depending on the heat and their age. The tough ones always go all 10. Pace usually starts out just above 8:00 minutes/mile and gets quicker; often near 6:00 minutes/mile by the end for a few runners, others may stay at 8:00 minute pace or higher throughout. Lots of ways to cut this run short if you don't want to go ten miles, so there is no excuse not to come out and run. For the duration of the summer, those running longer are meeting at 7:00 AM. A few of the older runners are meeting at 8:00 AM.

Believe it or not, this weekly run also has a Facebook page devoted to it: The Height's Sunday Morning 10 Mile Run Facebook Page
Andy McDonald's Fun Run
Every Sunday Morning at 7:00 AM, runners and walkers meet at Andy's Restaurant located on the corner of Markham and John Barrow. This is typically a five mile route with both runners and walkers.
